The Rajo Project is a new nonprofit rooted in a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves hope and opportunity.

“Rajo” means hope in Somali — and that’s what we’re here to build.

We are just beginning our journey, but our mission is bold: to uplift Somali communities in East Africa through emergency aid, education, clean water, and youth empowerment. From drought relief to digital literacy, we focus on long-term solutions that meet urgent needs today — and help children thrive tomorrow.

How the Rajo Project Began

Founded in 2024, the Rajo Project grew out of a deep passion for humanitarian work and a commitment to East Africa’s future. Our founder — with personal roots in the region — saw critical gaps in access to basic resources like water, education, and health support.

What began as a small effort to help in moments of crisis is now evolving into a broader mission to empower and uplift. We’re now laying the groundwork for new programs in tech education, clean water, and youth development.
